Planetary Citizen Print
Fine Art Archival Print: 14.5" x 22”
$350
UNIQUE, COMMEMORATIVE, LIMITED EDITION PRINT COUNTERSIGNED BY APOLLO ASTRONAUT EDGAR MITCHELL
Apollo 14 astronaut Edgar Mitchell, one of only 12 humans to walk the lunar surface, inspired this piece when he said that “Each man comes back (to Earth) with a feeling that he is no longer only an American citizen; he is a planetary citizen.”
These words, combined with the spellbinding image of Earth from afar, inspired my visionary space-art series, "Conscious Evolution: The World At One." “This series,” says Mitchell, "captures the spirit of the view of the earth from space and provides insights into cosmic awareness.”
Wanting millions of people to have the chance to see and enjoy these inspirational works, a group of collectors came together to purchase and donate all 12-pieces in the series to the Smithsonian Institution's National Air and Space Museum.
To commemorate this important milestone, Dr. Mitchell joined with me to produce a signed and numbered, limited edition print of “Planetary Citizen,” the series' signature piece.
This print, which bears astronaut Mitchell's original signature on only 60 pieces, embodies the affinity between artist and astronaut.
I am thrilled to be able to present this historical print in collaboration with Dr. Mitchell. It's truly a unique collector's item and an ideal gift for graduating seniors, space enthusiasts and those who want to celebrate our global awareness.
I know I join many people across the globe who recognize the passing of this hugely influential figure on human consciousness, as a great loss to our world.
His legacy and vision of a peaceful and harmonious planet, however, will endure.
