“In this card-deck and guidebook, artist Angela Manno engages head, heart, and spirit with clarity and grace. With lyrical prose and beautiful images, she invites readers to see the creatures of the natural world differently. Thanks to her skill and moral depth, the practice of visio divina opens up fresh perspectives and flows into meaningful action. Amid the welcome sea of books on ecological theology, this publication stands out as an outstanding, genuinely original work. There is simply nothing else like it.”

The Sacred Biodiversity Oracle:

A 36-card deck and guidebook by Angela Manno

The Sacred Biodiversity card deck & guidebook is an extension of Angela Manno’s celebrated series of icons of threatened and endangered species. The portable form allows many more people to have access to her art and to have a truly in-depth experience with the images and the creatures they represent, in order to foster awareness, compassion and meaningful action.

In addition to the beautiful, large format full-color images, the guidebook provides vital context that is critical to our understanding of the biodiversity crisis, its challenges, and the hope that lies in the emerging biocentric, eco-spiritual world view that is evidenced within its pages.

Together, the images, guided exercises, the QR codes provided on each card leads to the websites of eighteen different organizations where readers can learn more about each species and take meaningful action, thereby bridging spiritual practice, ecological awareness, and activism.

The deck is also an important learning tool and can be used individually or in a group setting.
